Zyromski to Chair Revision of Illinois School Counseling Standards Committee
Dr. Brett Zyromski (Counselor Education) has been asked to chair the joint task force committee that is revising the current Illinois School Counseling Standards. The Illinois’ comprehensive school counseling model has served as a foundation for many other models, including the American School Counseling Association’s (ASCA) National Model. The committee is updating and revising the Illinois Model to reflect the distinct issues students face in the state of Illinois while aligning it further with the ASCA National Model. The task force committee was created through a collaborative agreement between the Illinois Counseling Association, the Illinois School Counseling Association and the Illinois Association of Counselor Education and Supervision.
