Christie
McIntyre Outstanding Teacher |
The recipient of the University’s 2008 Outstanding Term Faculty Teaching Award is Christie McIntyre from the Department of Curriculum and Instruction. She will be honored at the Excellence through Commitment Awards dinner on April 22 in the Student Center.
As her colleague Dr. Cathy Mogharreban put it, “Christie McIntyre is an unusually effective term faculty member because she is a person of integrity, compassion, drive and commitment. The faculty and the students in the early childhood program of curriculum and instruction have benefited in so many ways from working with her. Our community of educators is better because of her place in it.” I’m sure I speak for all of Christie’s colleagues in the College when I say how proud we are that she was chosen for this University-wide award.
Other faculty members from our College will also be honored at the Excellence through Commitment Awards dinner on April 22. They are Todd Headrick (EPSE), who has been selected as the recipient of our College’s Outstanding Scholar Award, and Stacie Robertson (RI), who is the recipient of our College’s Outstanding Teaching Award. In addition, Emily Whitney (HER) has been chosen as our College’s Outstanding Graduate Teaching Assistant. Congratulations to them all – and thanks for being such exceptional colleagues!
